Problem
Client submits ticket stating that they cannot send email to any outgoing address (outside their domain) after changing over to AT&T U-VERSE Internet service.
Solution
By default, AT&T blocks port 25 in their modems. You will need to contact AT&T to get the port unblocked by a Tier 2 tech.
- Call AT&T?support, ?888-944-0447
- Ask the tech?to?check?the?new?U-VERSE?router?installed?and?ensure?that?PORT?25?was?unblocked.
- You will need the main ADDRESS of the business, the contact name for the AT&T Account. You might need the MAC ADDRESS from the Modem (but rare)
Once the tech confirms that port 25 is no longer blocked (they will actually ADD a statement in the router to turn on the port)
Contact the client and have them send test email back and forth to you.
