The following steps will allow you to program a Polycom VVX 400 or 410 for use with a non-Evolve IP managed remote or home network. Steps include access the Admin menu, setting the Boot Server and VLAN ID.

Step 1: Press the 'home' key to access to main menu


Step 2: Use the direction pad to select Settings


Step 3: Press 2 for Advanced


Step 4: Input the Admin password 456 if the phone is factory defaulted or 347 479 989 if the phone already has an Evolve IP configuration file installed.


Step 5: Press 1 for Administration Settings


Step 6: Press 1 for Network Configuration


Step 7: Select Provisioning Server


Step 8: Select DHCP Menu


Step 9: Select Boot Server and set it to Static


Step 10: Press 'back' and then arrow down to Server Address and press 'edit'

Step 11: Use the keypad to type in  - https://pconf.evolveip.net/fs

Note: * for a . and # for a / and 1 for :



Step 11: Go back to the Network Configuration menu and select Ethernet Menu


Step 12: Arrow down and select VLAN Menu


VLAN ID

Please check Nagios for the voice VLAN ID

Step 12: Edit the VLAN ID value. Remove any number in this field by pressing the '<<' softkey and then press 'save'


Step 13: Press 'back' until prompted to Save Config. Press select to initial a reboot of the handset.
