Goto OSSmosis 5

Click on 'Provisioning'



Click 'Manage' under User Provisioning



Click the orange circle in the bottom right corner and click 'Add User'




Input all fields for the new user seat

First/Last Name: User's Name

E-Mail Address

Mobile Phone

Phone Number: If the user needs a Direct Inward Dial (DID) associated with seat, confirm DID  has been uploaded to 'Phone Numbers' and Assigned to a Group

Note: At this time there is no phone number dropdown to select from the reserve pool. This should be fixed in a future SW Dev Update.]

Extension: Choose an available extension from the dropdown. If possible, select an extension that matches the last few digits of the Phone Number

User ID: This should match the Phone Number

Extension Only Users

If the user seat does NOT need a DID associated with it, you can exclude the Phone Number field, and the UserID is the Group Calling Line ID (dot) the extension

Example: 4842530547.860 is an extension only user, Internal extension is '860' and the group's main number or CLID is '4842530547'

License: Select the necessary license/seat type. 

EOPREMUNL is the most common

Phone Mode:Select the phone model that will be associated with the seat. Note: Select 'none' if there is no physical phone.

MAC Address: If the customer provides the MAC address of the handset, make sure the correct Phone Model is selected and input the MAC.

Ossmosis 5 will create the configuration file but it's important to notice if the phone config is built in the TFTP Toolkit or the Broadsoft DMS Server

All Polycom VVX +1 models and Yealink models are built in Broadsoft DMS

VLAN: Populate the VLAN associated with the customer's network where phone will be connected

Voicemail server: Leave this as is

SIP Registrar: Leave this as is



Click 'add user' at the bottom and if you need to provision multiple user's you can now start inputting the second user's information at the top.



once all users have been added, click the orange circle in the bottom right corner and then click 'Provision'



Once the provisioning has completed the page will redirect to the 'Provisioning Status' Menu

Click on the 3-dots and then 'View Task Details'

This is where the Provisioning Output will reside. The output contains:

The Broadsoft ID, the randomly generated 

  • Application Password

  • SIP Auth Password (for a phone config or softphone)

  • Voice Portal Pin

Always copy/paste the provisioning output into the ticket log and also email the customer the application and voice portal pin in a text file attachment.
