the SIP auth password is a 20 character password that is associated with a BroadSoft UserID.

It allows an endpoint (Softphone or Deskphone) to authenticate with the Evolve UCaaS platform for inbound/outbound VoIP calls.

Navigate to the Telephony Setup > Users menu in OSSmosis 5

Locate the user by scrolling or searching at the top by name,  phone number, or extension

Right-click on the user and select Reset Password(s)

You can check the box next to 'Generate Random SIP Authentication Key' and obtain it from the Provisioning Status Menu

You can also type in a new SIP Authentication Key in the text box

If the password entered does not meet the rules and requirements a question mark icon will appear. Hovering over it will show the password rules

If you generated a random password. Go to the Provisioning > Provisioning Status menu to obtain the new SIP authentication password

Click on the 3-dot menu next to the password update task and select View Task Details.

Tip

The most recent task is always at the top

Click the down arrow next to users  Expand to view 1 users to view the password

The SipAuthPassword will be the randomly generated password for this user.

You can also Download or Email an Excel spreadsheet file that contains all of the listed values associated with the BroadSoft User Seat.
