Configuration
Note
You can add Paging via the site config to enable paging for every user in that site or you can add it per phone in specific phone configs. If you add it to specific phones, only those phones will be involved in paging (either transmitting or receiving) and other phones will not have the ability to receive or transmit pages
- Add Paging to the site config
- If only a few users need paging then do not add paging to the site configuration, add it instead to the individual phone configurations
- The site configuration for a location can be accessed in TFTP01
- Add the following config to the customer's Polycom-site.cfg directly below this line: <polycomConfigxmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" csi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="polycomConfig.xsd">
<ptt
ptt.address="225.0.0.2"
ptt.pageMode.enable="1"
ptt.port="15060"
ptt.pageMode.group.1.subscribed="1"
ptt.pageMode.group.24.subscribed="0"
ptt.pageMode.group.25.subscribed="0"
/>
**Adding this code to the site config enables paging for all users, after they reboot their phones**
- Add Paging to a specific phone
- Look up the phone's configuration file in TFTPtoolkit
- Add the same code to the phone's configuration at the end before the closing </polycomConfig> tag
- Paging configurations on phones will override site configurations
