We're thrilled to announce the latest release of ECS. This update introduces the Controlled Release of ECS eAgent Softphone, offering enhanced communication tools for your agents. Among minor enhancements and bug fixes, we have introduced Transcription for Voicemail activity. When a customer leaves a voicemail, a transcription will accompany the email that ECS sends.

NOTICE: We moved to a new version naming convention - 5.4.x to 2024.8.0.28

Starting in this release, ECS versions have changed to a new format: YYYY.MM.<Release Number>.<Build Number>

This release is 2024.8.0.28

Due to the new version format, the clients downloaded from the App Portal may not launch properly. If this occurs, please delete the 2.0 folder (C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0)


This release contains the following feature enhancements and bug fixes.

Enhancements

  1. SETUP - Change the P&C Selection and P&C Data activities "Failure" tab caption to "Invalid Input"
  2. SETUP - Side Bar - Reorder Load Routing Data activities
  3. SETUP - Re-order API Values using Drag & Drop - Headers, Parameters and Return Values
  4. Add audio transcription to voice message email
  5. eAgent lagging following consecutive light deploys
  6. eAgent webRTC - Add support for Dubber recording actions.
  7. eSupervisor - UX- Font in light modes.
  8. eSupervisor - Improve successful save indication in the Card Configuration dialog.
  9. 01 Report - Remove the "Consult:" label from the Consultees/Transfers column when not required.
  10. Do not send email when a voice message audio file is not created.

 Bug Fix

  1. Chat client - The typing indicator is shown infinitely if the chat was ended right after the customer finished typing.
  2. Supervisor - Agent Assignment - The Set New Expiration Button affects only inactive agents expiration time on BP tab.
  3. SETUP - X button in the "Account and passwords" dialog behaves like the Change Password button.


What do you need to know?

  1. Any changes made to your environment must be fully deployed via Setup before the upgrade and previously deployed versions will no longer be available after the upgrade.
  2. If your organization is staffed during maintenance, they will experience a short period of downtime (less than 10 minutes).
  3. Users will get a notification on their first login after the upgrade to accept and download the newest update. Please instruct your users to accept the application update.
