There are 2 possible locations in which outbound caller ID can be pre-programmed which would effect the required database entry for emergency services.
At the group level, the Call Processing Policies determine what will be outpulsed for the calling line ID for Emergency Calls. To the right is an image of the information found in Broadsoft.
- If Use user phone number for Calling Line Identity is selected, the DID of the user is outpulsed
- If Use configurable CLID for Calling Line Identity, the configurable CLID of each user is outpulsed
- If Use group/department phone number for Calling Line Identity, the group CLID is outpulsed
Provided the option Use group/department phone number for Calling Line Identity is selected, updates to the location in Ossmosis should update the emergency services database. To do so, navigate to the account and location to be verified/updated. Choose Location Provisioning under the Provisioning option is Ossmosis.
Here you may update the address associated with the group. Any Address change should be validated before saving.
If the Call Processing Policy in Broadsoft is set to either Use configurable CLID for Calling Line Identity or Use user phone number for Calling Line Identity, delegate the ticket to Tier 2 so the backend of the database can be populated appropriately.
