blueprintCLOUD Lite utilizes the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) software to access a virtual desktop experience.

To prepare a new computer to use RDC, make sure you have the latest RDC software installed (currently 8.0 for Mac):

  1. Go to the App Store and search for "Microsoft Remote Desktop" (the one made by Microsoft with the red icon, image is shown here to the right).
  2. Install the software, following the default prompts and options.

To access your Remote Desktop, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Microsoft RDC software.
  2. Press the option for New Remote Desktop (plus symbol).

  3. In the Connection Name field, give the connection a name you'll recognize (i.e. My Company Name).
  4. In the PC Name field, type the remote desktop server name as given to you at launch (i.e. remote.mycompanydomainname.com).

This address is unique for each company.

  5. In the Username field, enter your email address.

Azzaron highly recommends NOT memorizing your password as this is a security measure if your computer is ever lost or stolen.

  6. Do not enter anything in the Gateway field.
  7. Only change the additional fields if you've been instructed by tech support or you understand the implications of changing resolution and color settings.
  8. Click the red X to close.
  9. Click the name of the connection to start using your virtual desktop.

Remember to LOG OFF (using the Start menu) when you are done.
