Overview

The Trend Micro Worry Free agent is supported on MacOS.  This article contains some general information to help you install the agent on MacOS.

Requirements

The following requirements must be met before installing the agent:

  • The endpoint has network connectivity to the Trend Micro Worry Free SaaS environment via the Internet.
  • The agent installation package is downloaded using the Safari browser.  Chrome is not supported.
  • The user account used to install the agent has the permissions to install the agent.
  • Apple M1/M2 hardware is supported, but the Rosetta application must be installed before installing the agent.
  • The remote computer is running a supported Mac operating system:
    • macOS Sonoma (v14.0 or later)
    • macOS Ventura (v13 or later)
    • macOS Monterey (v12.0 or later)
    • macOS Big Sur (v11.0 or later)
    • macOS Catalina v10.15 (support ends Oct-2024)
    • macOS Mojave v10.14 (support ends Nov-2023)

Browser Extension for macOS

Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Services (WFBS-SVC) has a browser extension to block malicious web threats.  To manually enable the extension, follow the steps in Trend's Manually Enable the Worry-Free Business Security Services (Mac) Browser Extension article.
