blueprintCLOUD, continuumCLOUD, and dvmCLOUD include a private Instant Messaging (IM) system. Sometimes it is handy to have access to the IM service outside the remote desktop or on an additional device.

Our engineers have tested numerous apps compatible with the XMPP protocol used for intregrated IM and found that the following tested options are great values and reliable:

  • AstraChat (IOS and Android): A terrific free app that also permits voice calls and sending pictures.
  • IM+ (IOS and Android): Both free paid (commercial free) versions and supports multiple simultaneous account with other chat providers.
  • Conversation (Android): Rock-solid paid app.

Other XMPP-compatible applications might work, but the instructions here are for the apps and those are the ones and they are the ones the technical team officially endorse and support.
