This document will provide step by step instruction on how to successfully create a group level speed dial list for all Premium users within an enterprise.

Where:
Can only be done in Broadsoft on the group level. Broadsoft write access is required.

Why:
"Virtual On-Net Enterprise Extensions" are used to create "alias" extension numbers as speed dials for DIDs that are built on Evolve IP platform, but are in a different enterprise, to allows for enterprise-to-enterprise "extension" dialing, or DIDs that are not built on Evolve IP platform - such as a cell phone numbers.

How:

  1. Navigate to the group you will be creating the speed dials under and find the "Virtual On-Net Enterprise Extensions" service under the Profile.

Completed

  1. After clicking on the service, click on the "Add" button to create a new speed dial entry. You are also able to click the "Search" button to view all current speed dial entries for edit/deletion.

Completed

  1. When adding new speed dials, you will be taken to a new speed dial creation screen which will require you to enter a First name, Last name, Phone Number (This is the off-net number the customer wants the speed dial to point to), Extension (This will be the internal extension the customer dials for the speed dial), and "Virtual On-Net Call Type" will always be set to "Toll."

Completed

  1. After clicking "OK" you should now see your new entry populate under the Search function. Additionally, any premium user within that group will now be able to dial the extension corresponding to the off-net number they wish to reach. These changes are active immediately and no customer interaction is needed.
